Banana cream pie is creamy and yummy. A recipe at your hand, it’s easy to prepare and serves as dessert and an appetizer. You cannot crave your hunger just with single piece of it. The preparation and ingredients are so simple that you can prepare one for yourself.

Ingredients

12 Graham cracker squares (6 full sheets)
2 tbsp softened butter
11/2 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
3 tbsp boiling water
1/3 cup plus 1/2 teaspoon sugar
3 tbsp all purpose flour
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 cups low fat (skimmed) milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups of sliced banana
¼ cup of whipped cream
1/2 teaspoon sugar

Preparation

1. Preheat your oven o 350 degrees F
2. Spray the graham cracker over the pie plate.
3. In a food processor process graham crackers until fine ground.
4. Add butter and a single teaspoon of water and process it until the crumb clumps together.
5. Press crumbed mixture into the pie plate.
6. Bake in oven for 10 minutes and let it cool.
7. In the meantime, make the filling. Put the gelatin in a small bowl; add 3 tablespoons of boiling water and stir until gelatin is dissolved.
8. In a medium saucepan, whisk together 1/3 cup of sugar and the flour.
9. In a medium bowl lightly beat the milk and eggs together. Add the egg and milk mixture to the saucepan and whisk so the flour and sugar dissolve.
10. Cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes, until mixture comes to a boil and has thickened. Stir in the vanilla extract and gelatin. Set aside to cool slightly.
11. Pour pudding on top of the sliced bananas placed on graham cracker crust. Let it cool and refrigerate your pudding until it sets (at-least for 3 hours).
12. Whip the cream and add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar till you get a smooth mixture. Put the whipped cream in a plastic bag and garnish your pudding (you can use raisins and sliced almonds) for decoration.
