Mattone al cioccolato: Chocolate Brick

This very delicious quick-fix Brick dessert will be hard to keep your hands and mouth off. Chocolate is that magic ingredient which when added to any mundane sweet dish ensures a tasty makeover!

An ordinary sponge cake can be transformed into a relishing dessert with this recipe. Try it once and it would instantly become the much-sought-after dessert at home.

You need (for 8 servings):

1 box of sponge cake
15 cl whipping cream
10 oz. crumbled milk chocolate
3 0z. butter
6 T. rum
1 tsp vanilla extract

Trim and slice the sponge cake to fit into a loaf pan. Melt the chocolate bits in the cream, then add the rum and vanilla. Chill for 20 minutes.
Combine the chilled mixture with softened butter and blend well. Place alternate layers of cake and chocolate in the loaf pan, beginning and ending with chocolate. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.

And, your yummy chocolaty dessert is ready.
